Urban planning and development
Are you thinking about renovating? Did you know that most construction, demolition, zoning and subdivision projects require written authorization? Contact the CAPA for information.
Established in 1975, the Commission d'aménagement de la Péninsule acadienne is a public agency created by the municipalities of the Peninsula and the Department of Local Government to oversee development and planning throughout the Acadian Peninsula.
Through the policies it puts forward and the advice it provides to the municipalities, the Minister and the provincial government, the Commission seeks to create a better living environment for residents, to promote the balanced development of the region, and to help the Peninsula acquire its own development tools. To do so, the Commission oversees land use, the organization of the region, the development of resources and the protection of the environment.
